Teeth-whitening - for rapid, excellent results
One of the quickest, least intrusive and most immediately noticeable ways to improve a smile is by teeth-whitening. There are several teeth-whitening procedures available such as laser/in-surgery whitening, as well as home whitening kits. Teeth-whitening removes stains and discolouration and can revitalise a smile..
Dental bonding - for superb repair work
A well established, tried and trusted technique, dental bonding can transform your smile in as little as a single visit to the dentist. The process involves use of dental composite, a mouldable paste that can fill cavities, replace metal or amalgam fillings, repair broken or chipped teeth, close gaps between teeth, reshape teeth and create veneers that fit over teeth. Dental composite can match your own teeth perfectly and provides a superior result when compared to amalgam or silver fillings, which can be unsightly in an otherwise attractive smile.
Before application of the composite bonding agent, the tooth surface is cleaned. The composite is then applied and allowed to harden and set. The composite is often applied to the tooth in several thin layers until the desired shape, translucency and texture is achieved. It is finally polished and buffed to create the desired shape and finish.
Invisalign - realigning your teeth without the need for traditional braces
Not so long ago, if you had crooked or misaligned teeth, metal braces were virtually the only way to realign and straighten your teeth; however, they can be unsightly and uncomfortable, which is why Invisalign is the ideal alternative. Invisalign comprises a series of virtually invisible, clear and removable braces that move your teeth to their desired position over time. Invisalign can provide a solution to overcrowded or widely spaced teeth, crossbites (upper and lower jaws not aligned properly), underbites (lower teeth protrude past front teeth) and overbites (upper teeth overlap lower teeth).
Porcelain veneers - the ideal solution for badly stained or damaged teeth
Porcelain veneers are wafer-thin shells of tooth-coloured porcelainl which are bonded to the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. They're an ideal solution to badly stained teeth that cannot be improved by teeth whitening, plus they can also address problems of damaged teeth that have become worn, chipped or broken. Spaces or gaps between teeth can also be closed using dental veneers, giving you a more uniform-looking smile. Porcelain veneers are often preferable to composite veneers because composites are more prone to staining and don't last as long. Porcelain veneers also offer a more natural and translucent appearance.
